1. Introduction

This cookie policy explains which cookies and similar technologies are used on the kizi.ch platform, for what purpose and how you can control them.

In accordance with the Swiss Data Protection Act (FADP), we inform you transparently about the technologies used. In Switzerland, no prior consent is required for analytics cookies — an information obligation applies.

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. They enable the website to recognise your device and store certain information. In addition to cookies, we also use the browser's localStorage — a storage mechanism that works similarly to cookies but stores data locally in the browser.

3. Essential cookies

These cookies are essential for the operation of the platform and cannot be disabled.

4. Analytics cookies (PostHog)

We use the self-hosted analytics platform PostHog to evaluate the usage of our platform. PostHog runs on our own server in Germany (Hetzner) — your data is not shared with any third parties.

ph_*_posthog (cookie)Anonymous visitor ID for returning visitors1 year
ph_*_posthog (localStorage)Session information, registered propertiesUnlimited (until manually deleted)

PostHog records page views, clicks, scroll depth and device information. PostHog does not record full IP addresses and does not share any data with third parties.

5. Third-party cookies

kizi.ch does not use any third-party cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising cookies or social media trackers. All analytics data is processed on our own server.

6. Managing cookies and opt-out

You can manage or delete cookies at any time via your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Cookies
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and Site Permissions

PostHog opt-out: to disable analytics tracking, you can enable the "Do Not Track" setting in your browser or manually delete PostHog cookies (starting with ph_).

Note: if you block all cookies, certain parts of the platform may no longer function correctly (e.g. login).

7. Legal basis

The use of essential cookies is necessary for the operation of the platform. The use of analytics cookies is based on our overriding private interest in improving our services (Art. 31(1) FADP).

Under Swiss data protection law, no prior consent is required for these types of cookies. For more information, see our privacy policy.
